Hunter's Isle Horse Show

Welcome to Winner’s Circle and Hunter’s Isle Horse Shows 2012 show season!

Following a very successful 2011, we will again run all our shows at the Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank and are looking forward to a fantastic competition season.

As we did last year, we will again hold three show series – Spring, Summer and Fall – with each series having separate prize lists, time schedules, special events and Grand Champion awards. Our premier annual charity event, the Winner’s Circle Charity Show, will be held on July 11 for the benefit of Little Shelter Animal Rescue in Huntington and will feature an individual prize list, raffles, and Champion Awards for each division.

As always, we strive to offer our exhibitors a wonderful horse show experience and, with that goal in mind, make improvements and changes each year. For 2012, we have added additional Opportunity Classes in each series and have moved several divisions to new spots in the time schedule to improve the showing experience for all exhibitors. In addition to some of our changes, USEF and LIHSAA have enacted changes to points system and divisions which may impact exhibitors and we urge everyone to get acquainted with those changes in advance of showing. The changes can be accessed on the organizations’ websites and will be reflected in all our prize lists.

We also welcome our exhibitors to the ease of on-line entries both through this website and www.horseshowing.com. Class counts will be available on both websites the day before each show and, in order to post accurate counts, we ask that all exhibitors pre-enter no later than 48 hours before the show starting time. Pre-entry saves exhibitors money and helps ensure a better run competition with shorter lines at the secretary’s stand! Trainers can help to provide their riders with easier, less expensive showing experiences by helping them get their fully completed and signed entries in on time. Again this year, each exhibitor who has pre-entered a complete entry form will be entered in a raffle at each show and be eligible for a show fee credit for that show.

For the comfort and safety of our exhibitors and their horses during schooling, schooling in all competition and schooling rings will be carefully monitored. All riders will be asked to wear their back numbers and riders who have not entered the competition may not school.

We are in full gear preparing for a great 2012 season – readying the jumps and enhancements, ordering the ribbons and awards and prepping the equipment and rings. We look forward to sharing it with all and wish everyone Happy Showing!
